Listen to the Engine purr and feel the smooth Transmission
The Cadillac Northstar engine, a legend has only ever seen Mobile One Synthetic motor oil and purrs like a kitten, is responsive and has that deep V8 power, but with Northstar cylinder technology saves on mileage when on the open road. The transmission is strong and smooth and well taken care of and maintained. The exhaust is clear. Acceleration is smooth and refind, and the handling is nimble and responsive.
Understand the following known issues
* As with all Cadillac Northstar Engines of this vintage (Model Year 2006 with 255k miles), the engine oil seeps out and must be periodically checked and topped off. Residual oil sometimes falls on the exhaust at times and can result in a white vapor occurring when stopping upon occasion.
* There is a parasitic power drain, which can result in the battery needing to be jumped, if the car is not started every day or so, or if accessories are used without the engine running. I have recently installed a new battery (from Costco) and a new alternator. I'm working to track this issue down and will update this web page with updates.
* Once in a while, when rolling up the driver side rear window, it will mysteriously roll itself back down, but it will roll up in short amounts. I tried to get this weirdness on video, but of course it worked perfectly.
* Sometimes, when going up a grade, the vehicle will run hot, but no coolant is lost.
